Welcome to ‘View From In Here’ Lifestyle Blog
Come on in, curl up & grab a cup of coffee. Let’s sit down and chat. It’s really nice to meet you & I look forward to getting to know you better. I know…everyone says that. But I truly hope to get to know you, honest. And perhaps along the way you’ll get to know yourself a bit better too.
It’s always nice to know that you’re in the correct spot, right? To reassure you that “View From In Here” is a great place to hang out I asked one of my regular readers to pen an endorsement;
“I pop by View From In Here daily. It is part of my routine. Nikki’s words have empowered me, in fact after reading for just a few weeks I have begun to notice that “I am faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound…”
Oops! I think that was the wrong quote. But it sure sounds good doesn’t it??? I better double check to make sure my cape coordinates with my shoes? Right?
But who am I, really?
I’m the girl (Yes, I said “Girl”, I think that “Woman” sounds too old. And I refuse to be that. Old that is.) who believes we can have a better, happier, fuller life; in all ways. This is the place where we can figure that out, together. Real life happens here, and lots of it!
I’m not here to tell you how to live, that’s the worst isn’t it? When someone tells you what you should be doing? UG! I hate that. But I hope that spending time here helps you to feel better, breathe and laugh!
The most stressful issues in life are; marriage, divorce, death of a loved one, moving, illness and job loss. I’ve been through all of them, some of them multiple times. And I made it. Not sure how, but I did. Even when you’re going through more than one of these stressers at the same time, life can be better. One step at a time. It can always be better.
That’s what this space is about. Learning to breathe, digging deep to find that 20 seconds of insane courage that will carry you to the next moment. I’ve been there, continue to find myself there. In the middle of real life. It’s messy, happy, sad, fun, maddening, depressing, gorgeous and oh, so worth it!
Especially when you are surrounded by love.
My family is the thing that keeps me going; no matter where we are as long as we’re together, that’s “home”. It wouldn’t be possible for me to hand-pick children that I could love more than I love these two. And I’m so thankful that I slowed down, at just the right time, so my husband could catch me.
We’ve had our share of troubles, but together, we have overcome (and still are, it’s a lifelong project) & I wouldn’t want it any other way.
So, welcome, I’m sure you have a whole lotta life going on in your world too. I’d love to hear all about it!
